Orchid Cascade

After many years of sitting the bench the cascade bridal bouquet is beginning to become fashionable again.

After Princess Diana’ s wedding to Prince Charles made the cascade all the rage for bride’s in the 80′s. The bouquet became common and something brides steered away from in the late 90′s and 2000′s turning to the classic English hand-tied bouquet.  Now, after a twenty or so year reign, it is the  classic hand-tied that has seen it’s day and brides are searching for something different.    Could it be a renaissance for the Cascade bouquet?  I am finding the answer is yes for brides who are under 25 years or are adventurous.  It is a delight to see this bouquet come back into style as it takes a REAL floral designer to be able to put one together.  This is not a boquet One can find at a grocery store.

Seeing forms of the Cascade here and there on the wedding scene lets me know I have lived long enough to understand the old adage: “everything old(if you wait long enough) is new again.”
